Veronica “Ronnie” T. (Walenticonis) Moss, 91, of Vernon, CT passed away peacefully at home on April 2, 2016 after a brief illness. She was born on April 3, 1924 in Tariffville, CT. Ronnie lived most of her life in New Britain before moving to St. Petersburg, FL for a brief period, then returning and settling in Vernon, CT. Ronnie persevered with strength, dignity and humor through her last days. We are comforted in knowing that she is with the Lord and has joined her husband, son and daughter in Heaven. She will be deeply missed and always remembered for her unwavering faith, amazing sense of humor, warm heart for people and animals, and her infectious laugh. Ronnie had many enjoyments in life but her favorites were gardening, a good competitive game of poker with friends and family, and watching the Yankees play the Red Sox. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Patricia A. (Pakutka) Moss of Vernon, granddaughter, Alycia Lyons, great granddaughters, Ashley and Emily Lyons, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Harold C. Moss, Sr., son, Harold C. Moss, Jr., and daughter, Veronica A. (Moss) Maslowski. A funeral home service will be held on April 6, 2016 at 11 am with a calling hour from 10 am to 11am at the Small & Pietras Funeral Home, 65 Elm St., Rockville, CT 06066. Relatives and friends are welcome to come celebrate Ronnie’s life. Burial will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Vernon.
