Janet O. Larson, 82 of East Windsor, CT passed away peacefully on August 16, 2016. Janet was born the daughter of Paul H. and Mildred Usher Olson. She was predeceased her husband, Earl F. Larson in January 2016, after 58 years of marriage. Janet graduated from Kingswood Oxford and Lasalle Junior college. After raising her four children, she began a career with Southern Auto Auction. She retired from the auction after 32 years of dedicated service in 2009, allowing her to spend more time boating, gardening and doing what she most enjoyed, spoiling her beloved grandchildren and hosting holidays and family gatherings. Janet is survived by her children Earl and his wife April of Coventry, Lori Lewis and her husband Robert of Windsor Locks, Lynn Bray and Lisa Thompson, both of East Windsor. One of Janet's greatest joys was her family. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren Derek Larson (Heather) and Rachel Larson, Paul Lewis (Alison), Jason Lewis, Kelly Lewis, Ashley Bray, Abigail Bray, Alyssa Bray, Meagan Thompson, and great grandchildren Aiden & Jordon Larson and Evelyn Lewis. She is also survived by her brother Paul H. Olson of Granby. She was predeceased by her brother John D. Olson. Janet's family would like to thank the dedicated staff at Kimberly Hall North, for the kind and compassionate care provided to Janet. Calling hours will be Friday, August 19th at Bassinger& Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner Street, East Windsor, CT 06088 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A Funeral Home Service will take place at 6:00 pm.
