Gail Ann Morse, 69, of Colchester, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016. She was born May 1, 1947 in Springfield, MA, the daughter of the late Bernard and Edith Ewig. She was a member of the Moose Club and the Colchester Senior Center. Gail was involved with My Brother’s Keeper (a church charity that makes sleeping bags for the homeless) and knitting dish cloths for the Lebanon Senior Center. In her free time she often went to bingo and Wii Bowling with her friends. She is survived by her son, Daniel Wilfred Morse; her nieces, Shelly, Shelby and Madisen Jacobs; her step-son, Gary Morse; her brother, Bernard Ewig Jr of NH.; sister, Eleanor Sawchyn of CT and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Charles Ewig and Paul Ewig and her ex-husband Donald Morse. Relatives and friends may join the family on Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 3pm to 5pm at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect Street, Rockville, CT 06066. A Graveside Service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Springfield, MA on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 11am. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Town Of Vernon Volunteer Fire Association.
