David (Heavy D) Meredith, 63, of Willington, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Monday, October 31, 2016. He was born on April 8, 1953 in Quincy, MA to Doris (Merzi) and George Meredith. Dave served in the Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a Mechanical Engineer at Pratt and Whitney and retired after 32 years. He loved golfing, bowling and gardening. He enjoyed cooking, grilling and loved his John Deere Tractor. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara, his Son’s, C.J Meredith, Mike Meredith and his wife Mandy; and grand-children Jubylee and Javier. Relatives and friends may join the family on Friday, November 4, 2016 between 1pm-3pm and also 5pm-7pm at the Tolland Memorial Funeral, 375 Merrow Rd, Tolland, CT. A funeral home service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 11am at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Rd, Tolland, CT.
