Arlene H. Cox, 82, passed away on January 18, 2017. She was born November 1, 1934 in Stafford, daughter of the late Arnold and Annie Farra Haskell. Arlene fell in love with Ted, and they were married in 1958. She graduated from Willimantic State Teachers College and taught in Tolland & Hartford schools, & later worked at Savings Bank of Rockville. They were blessed with a son in 1969, Christopher Haskell Cox. Chris was the central interest in Ted and Arlene's life; followed by a lifelong keen family interest in fishing that they shared together, especially at Willoughby Lake. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Edward, beloved son Christopher, her parents, and sister Virginia. Arlene is survived by Allyson Morin (Cox) & Jonathan Hand, & granddaughters Lillyanna & Clarissa, of Coventry; cousins; and many nieces & nephews. Relatives and friends may join the family from 9 AM – 10 AM at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Road (Rt. 195), Tolland on Thursday, January 26, 2017. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM at St. Matthews Church, 111 Tolland Green, Tolland. Burial to follow at South Cemetery, Tolland.
