Obituary for Kathleen Gayle Riley

Kathleen Gayle Riley, 58, of Coventry passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. She was born in Hartford, CT to Vivian Elizabeth (Holland) and Paul Thomas Riley. Kathleen’s family meant the world to her and she was their hero. She always lit up a room and always had a smile on her face. She treasured the relationships she made with children while working in the Coventry school system. She enjoyed going with her family every weekend to the ocean to go boating and clamming. She had a green thumb and enjoyed seeing the birds visit her garden. She is survived by her husband Steven Pierce, her daughter Nichole Parrotte and her brothers Kevin Riley and Michael Riley. A special thank you to the nurses of Connecticut Health and Hartford Healthcare at Home. Relatives and friends may join the family on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 between 5pm and 7pm at the Coventry-Pietras Funeral Home, 2665 Boston Turnpike, Coventry, CT. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 11am at Center Cemetery in Coventry. For online condolences please visit www.pietrasfuneralhome.com
