Obituary for Richard E. Quint

Richard Edward Quint, 83, of Enfield, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Saint Francis Hospital on Thursday, February 16, 2017. Born July 08, 1933 in Manhattan, New York to the late Edward and Julia (Sullivan) Quint.

Richard grew up in New York City before entering the Army to serve his country during the Korean conflict. After being discharged he married and started his family in Connecticut, a place he would call home for the remainder of his life. Richard worked at American Airlines for the next 37 years. During this time he became a supporter, coach, umpire and all around teacher of both Little League Baseball and hockey at the Enfield Twin Rinks. In his spare time he joined bowling leagues where he spent time with life long friends chasing that ever elusive perfect game. He had numerous dogs throughout his life and enjoyed spending time with Bear and Bella.

Richard is survived by his wife of 32 years Dorothy (Reno) Quint, his sons Steven Quint, his wife Jennifer, Gary Quint and his wife Kimberly, stepchildren Richard and Sue Arnold, Karen and Val Crochiere, daughter-in-law Cheryl Arnold, as well as his grandchildren, Chelsea Quint, Sydney Quint, Madison Quint, Austin Quint, Kristen Quint, Connor Quint, and step grandchildren, Brandon Arnold, Tyler Crochiere, Josh Arnold, Eric Arnold, Mark Arnold, and Jake Arnold, nieces and nephews Michael Quint, Kathleen Christianson, Edward Quint, Robert Rousseau, Margaret O'Sullivan, James Rousseau, and Eileen Rousseau. He was pre-deceased by his sister Judith Rousseau, brother Edward Quint, and stepson Paul Arnold.
