Obituary for John W. Hutton

John W.  Hutton
John Walter Hutton passed away March 24, 2017 in Tolland, CT surrounded by his family after a long illness. He was born in New York City May 13, 1929, the son of Louis Francis Hutton and Clemence Castro Hutton. He attended Collegiate School in New York City, Princeton University and The University of Pennsylvania Law School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a member and secretary for The Retired Officers Association of Rhode Island. His career included serving as a legal counsel for several firms in New York City, operating a private law practice and being elected town justice in Pound Ridge, NY. John will be remembered as a caring and supportive coach for youth basketball and Little League baseball teams, a volunteer fireman, Boy Scout leader and extraordinary home breakfast chef for family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dolores Taylor Hutton; son, John William Hutton (Kathleen), son, James Taylor Hutton (Susan), and daughter, Carolyn Hutton Durgin (Richard); and five grandchildren: Grace, Beatrix, Ben, John and William; sister-in-law, Kathryn Hutton (Robert deceased) and nieces and nephews: Elaine Woodward (Richard), Paul Hutton (Christy), Jane Hutton, Peter Hutton (Anita), Kathryn Hutton and Robert Hutton (Patti). John was predeceased by sister, Adele, brothers, Lewis and Robert, sister-in-law, Irene and nephew, Edward Hutton.
