Andrew A. Curtis, 84, of Ellington, beloved husband of Leslie (Shaffer) Curtis passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017 with his family by his side. He was born July 14, 1932 in Hartford, the son of the late Morris and Julia (Ritter) Curtis. Andrew served in the US Air Force for 22 years. He was a very private guy with a charming personality. He retired from the Aetna in Hartford. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children; his son, Andrew J. Curtis, his daughter, Valerie Curtis-Newton; his grandchildren, Cassandra, Nicole, Andrew M., and Tyler; his great grandson, Kayden; his sister Joyce, his brother Carl and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville, CT 06066. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Ellington Congregational Church, 72 Main St., Ellington, CT 06029. Burial will follow at Ellington Center Cemetery.
