Obituary for Judith N. Stewart

Judith Elaine Noble Stewart passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday May 17, 2017 at the age of 77. A woman of many interests, Judi primarily dedicated life to her family, her pets, and her art. An intrepid wife and mother, Judi cared for and enriched the lives of her three children and five grandchildren; instilling a sense of responsibility, love of animals and nature, and respect for all people. She also supported her loving husband of 57 years by managing the household and supporting his activities. Judi held a deep love of all animals and especially for her many dogs over the years. From Lassie to Muzzy and all the others in between, she treated them as members of the family. She also cared for various farm animals over the years (horses, pigs, and cows!!!) and passed this love of animals along to everyone around her. Above all, Judi was a gifted artist and brought a sense of excellence to all her artistic disciplines over the years. Her primary love was in fiber arts; spinning wool from her own livestock, to knitting and weaving that yarn into various textiles and clothing. Her home is filled with the result of this love of art. Families of dolls, miniature fantasy dwellings, rocks painted with the representation of houses and animals. She even brought her sense of creativity to her husband’s activities, scrapbooking all of his home improvement projects. The only daughter of Kenneth Noble and Ida Share Noble, she is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bruce Stewart, her children, Jerry, Martha and Ken, and her grandchildren, Shane, Shelby, Devon, Julia and L.J. Judi’s wishes were for a private service, but condolences can be provided in the form of a donation to the American Cancer Society or the ASPCA.
