John P. Trehy, 60, of Tolland, beloved husband of Susan (Malchow) Trehy passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017. He was born December 9, 1956 in Hartford, the son of John Richard and Pauline Mary (Morrill) Trehy. Besides his wife, he is survived by his two sons, John Paul Trehy Jr. and his girlfriend Jessica Klein of Somersville, SC and Eric Trehy of Tolland; his siblings, Richard Trehy and his wife Avis of Groton, Ruth Cragle and her husband Terry of Charlotte, NC, Rosemary Karosi and her husband Jeff of Ashford, Robert Trehy, Edward Trehy of Flordia, and Joseph Trehy and his wife Theresa of Mansfield, CT; his mother- in law Esther Jane McNary; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Richard and Helen Malchow of Ashford, Kathy and Fred McIntosh of Stafford Springs, Doreen and Ronald Young of Cooperstown, NY, David and Theresa Malchow of East Longmeadow, MA, Vicki and Louis Piazza of Tolland, and Laurie Parent of Manchester, and many nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his mother Pauline Trehy. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 2 to 4 PM on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Rd. (Rte 195) Tolland, CT 06084. A Memorial Service will follow at 4 PM at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
