Thomas F.X. Furey, 88, of Vernon, beloved husband of Arlene (Arseneau) Furey passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017. He was born April 2, 1929 in Boston, MA, the son of the late John and Agnes (Murtaugh) Furey. He loved to play tennis and the piano. He was an early member and volunteer at the Cornerstone in Rockville, a Lector at Sacred Heart Church and was very involved in the Rockville community. Besides his loving wife of 61 years, he is survived by his two children and their spouses, John and Carole Furey of Amston and Anne and Ralph Morse of Shrewsbury, MA; his brother, Fr. John Furey, C.Ss.R of Boston, MA; his four sisters, Catherine Bates of Medway, MA, Agnes Cullinane of Canton, MA, Theresa Corcoran of Belmont, MA and Ellen Driscoll of Foxboro, MA; his grandchildren, Ralph Morse and his wife Amanda, Jaclyn Morse and Thomas and Jack Furey. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 4 to 7 PM on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Sacred Heart Church, 550 Hartford Tpke., Vernon, CT 06066. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Vernon.
