Edward C. Norris, 68, of Coventry, beloved husband of Margaret (Schreier) Norris passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, July 29, 2017. Edward was born May 22, 1949 in Manchester, CT to the late James and Elizabeth Norris. He was a graduate of UCONN (where he met the love of his life) and career chef. Ed was very passionate about his family and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He loved his pool and swimming, fishing and taking care of his garden. He loved to play cards and games with his family. Above all he was kind, smart, quick with a joke and had a heart full of love. He will be missed beyond measure. Besides his wife Margaret, his is survived by his children Amanda Darcey and her husband Thomas of Coventry and Katherine Smith and her husband Kristopher of Brooklyn,CT; his sister Nancy Tracy and her husband Charles of Brewer, ME; his beloved grandchildren Aidan, Brenna,Owen and Will Darcey; and his faithful companion Pippin with whom he loved to walk at Crandall Pond. He was predeceased by his brothers, James Norris Jr. and Albert Norris. Relatives and friends may join the family on Friday August 4, 2017 from 10-12 pm at Coventry Pietras Funeral Home, 2665 Boston Tpke, Coventry. A Memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm.
