Obituary for Elizabeth F. Judge (Bonan)

Elizabeth F. Judge (Bonan)
Elizabeth “Betty” (Bonan) Judge, 93, beloved wife of the late Alfred Judge Jr. for 71 years and daughter of the late John and Ameila (DeCarli) Bonan, died peacefully on August 20, 2017. Betty was born in Rockville and lived there for most of her life until moving to Avery Heights in Hartford. She graduated from Saint Bernard School and Rockville High School class of 1941. She worked at “The Hartford” Insurance Co. and the U.S. Navy Dept. during World War II. In 1944, Betty and Alfred were married while he was training to be a B-24 pilot. She traveled with him until he left for the South Pacific. Betty was a life long member of Saint Bernard Church. She loved music, was a talented cook, and enjoyed the beach. Betty treasured her summers spent at her cottage in Ogunquit, ME.
She leaves a devoted daughter Diane Peskurich of Vernon, two caring sons and their wives; John and Shirley Judge of East Haddam and Robert and Bonnie Judge of Clinton; her five grandchildren Serena Judge, Christine Peskurich, Cara and Jesse Revett, and Alaina and Zachary Stephens, and Craig and Colleen Judge. She also leaves 5 great grandchildren; as well as many wonderful friends at Avery Heights.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 10 am at St. Bernard Church, Rockville. Immediately following the Mass, Betty will be laid to rest at St. Bernard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Saint Bernard Church, Rev. John J. White Scholarship Fund; 25 St. Bernard Terrace, Rockville, CT 06066. Or Marginal Way Preservation Fund, P.O. Box 1455 Ogunquit, ME 03907. For online condolences please visit www:pietrasfuneralhome.com
