Jeffrey M Anderson, MD - Jeff, 53, died unexpectedly on August 30, 2017. Born and raised in Michigan, he graduated from North Park University, University of Michigan Medical School, University of Connecticut Family Practice Residency and Sports Medicine Fellowship programs. For over 20 years he worked for UCONN as the Director of Sports Medicine and as the Medical Director of Student Health Services. He was also the Independent Program Administrator for Major League Baseball’s Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
Jeff loved his work but was happiest with his family. Jeff leaves his wife, Christine, his sons Erik (fiancée Victoria) and Luke. He is also survived by his mother Nancy, brother Brian (Donna), sister Julie, mother-in-law Julia, brother-in-law Sandy, nephew Andrew and nieces Katelyn & Johanna along with countless other relatives. He was predeceased by his father Arvin and father-in-law Sandy.
A tribute to honor Jeff will be held Friday, September 22 at 4pm in Student Union Room 304C at UCONN (all are welcome; please rsvp before midnight 9/20 to kim.colbert@uconn.edu with name & #). A memorial service will be at the United Congregational Church of Tolland Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 10 am.
