Timothy James Kneeland, 29, of Tolland, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 16, 2017. He was born on January 13, 1988, to Janice (Plante) Kneeland of Tolland and Guy Kneeland of Windsor. Tim resided in Tolland all of his life, attending local schools before graduating as a member of the National Honor Society from Windham Technical High School’s Auto Mechanic program. He continued his education and training at MassBay College, subsequently achieving employment as a mechanic for various local dealerships. Tim had a great passion for music which led him to attend many outdoor music festivals, eventually earning a management position with a national festival vendor. Tim enjoyed traveling, hiking, American history and especially the companionship of Shadow, the family dog. He followed the Boston Red Sox and was a die-hard New England Patriots Fan. Tim was very hands on, known as “Mr. Fix-it,” and was always eager to help whenever he was needed. Family and friends will remember Tim for his wisdom, compassion, and unique brand of humor. Besides his parents, he is survived by his brother Kyle Kneeland of Pennsylvania; his maternal grandfather, Francis Plante of Vernon; many aunts, uncles, and cousins that loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Pauline Plante, and his paternal grandparents Frank and Aline Kneeland. Relatives and friends may join the family for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Matthew’s Church, 111 Tolland Green, Tolland, on Friday, September 22, 2017, at 11:00 am (please meet directly at church). Burial will follow at South Cemetery, Tolland. A celebration of Tim’s life will be held in the St. Matthew’s parish hall at the conclusion of services.
