Karl Edward Kellner, 74, of Vernon, beloved husband of Mary (Calhoun) Kellner passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018. He was born July 3, 1944 in Vernon, the son of the late Clinton and Arlene (Johnston) Kellner. He was proud to have served in the U.S. Marines. He worked for many years at Atlantic Detroit Diesel and retired in 2009. He enjoyed restoring antique classic Chevrolet cars and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was a very kind and generous person and a friend to many. Besides his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Logan and her husband Donald Jr., and Chantelle Kellner all of Vernon; his siblings, Kenneth Kellner and his wife Margaret (Janton) of Sarasota, FL, Mary Lou Hollis and her husband Richard of West Palm Beach, FL and Richard Kellner and his wife Laura of Vernon; his grandchildren, Kyle Logan of East Hartford, Lauryn and Ethan Logan both of Vernon, Jaylynn and Carmen Mulero, Noah Kellner, Haven and Patience Brown all of Vernon, and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St. Rockville, CT 06066. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, July 20, 2018 at St. Bernard's Church, 25 St. Bernard Terrace, Rockville, CT 06066. Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Tender Loving Canines Assistance Dogs, Inc. P.O.
