Victor W. Cohun, 73, of Ellington, beloved husband of Ann (Girardini) Cohun, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born December 4, 1944 in Yonkers, NY, son of the late Victor J.S. and Bettena (Fortier) Cohun. At a young age his family moved to Manchester, CT where he attended school and graduated in 1963 from Manchester High School. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Vic had a career of 30 years in information technology at Western Union Telegraph and Pratt & Whitney Aircraft prior to his retirement. Vic is survived by his loving wife Ann, his daughters Michelle Mullen and her husband John and Tammy Powell and her husband Jeremy. He also leaves his grandchildren Marissa, Vanessa, Victoria, and Brett, his great grandson Anthony; his brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Marjorie Girardini and their children David Girardini (Gina), Jennifer Cunningham (Donald), and Alyssa Girardini; his great niece and nephews Ryan, Damian, Kaitlin, and Braeden; his sisters Andrea Mazzoli and Tena Schick; his nieces Denise, Kimberly, Amy, and Stephanie. He was predeceased by his infant sister Denise and his nephew David. Relatives and friends may join the family on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 4-7 PM at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, August 17, 2018 at St. Luke Church, 141 Maple St., Ellington. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Vernon.
