Stella (Orlowski) Zadorozny, 87, of Ellington, beloved widow to Edward Zadorozny, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 1, 2012. She was born April 14, 1925 in Rockville the daughter to the late Vincent and Sophie (Jendrucek) Orlowski. She is survived by her son Thomas Zadorozny of Ellington; her daughter Donna (Zadorozny) Flanigan, of Ellington; her sister, Rose Orlowski, of Rockville; her grandchildren Erin and Ken Wolf of South Windsor, and Lauren and David Cardone of Wethersfield, and a great grandchild Daniel Wolf. Besides her parents and her beloved husband, Stella was also predeceased by two of her sisters, Helen Gross and Blanche Orlowski. Stella was a graduate of Rockville High School. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and an adoring grandmother and great-grandmother. She was married to her sweetheart for 56 years. She was a communicant and a very active member for several years at St. Joseph’s Church in Rockville. She not only attended school there, but she was a member of the St. Helen’s Society. She enjoyed working the Christmas Bazaars and all of the summer carnivals. She will always be remembered for her and her husband’s membership in the C.O.W. organization where they successfully fought against the installation of a nuclear waste dump in Ellington. She loved spending her summers with her grandchildren at Crystal Lake and she enjoyed cooking her favorite Polish foods. Stella was an amazing woman and will truly be missed. Stella’s family also extends their deepest gratitude and heart felt appreciation to her caregiver Irene, as well as their thanks to the hospice visiting nurses. Relatives and friends may join the family for a Mass of Christian burial at St. Joseph Church, 33 West Street Rockville, CT 06066 on Tuesday July 3, 2012 at 10:00am, with burial to follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery.
