Condolence From: Len Matyia
Condolence: I just wanted to say "What an honor it is to be counted among Bill's many friends."

Bill was a gentle soul, with a big heart, who lived by the Golden Rule. We were buddies for over 4 decades, and in all those years, Bill never Criticized, Condemned or Complained, and he never tooted his own horn. It was never about Bill.

There were a million reasons why I enjoyed Bill's company, not the least of which, was that he really, really laughed at my jokes, especially after a glass of good red wine. What's not to like about a guy like that?

I would like to share one story about Bill that I'm sure everyone can relate to.

My wife Betty and I were involved in one of our house projects, when Bill stopped over to check on our progress. I was getting ready to build a stone wall, and asked Bill if he would help me push a big corner stone into place. We set the stone, and at 8:00 AM the next morning, there was Bill, and the next morning, and the next, and the next. Bill showed up like clockwork, carrying his own lunch and soft-drink. If it was 8:00 AM, and Bill wasn't there, I'd check to see what was wrong with my watch. Seven months later, when he finished the wall, it was 275 feet long, 4 1/2 feet high, and 4 feet deep. A true masterpiece.

Great memories of Bill. Only great memories.

Rest in peace my friend.

Condolence From: Jeanne Mango
Condolence: I was deeply sorry to hear that Bill passed away recently. I often think of him. I worked with Bill in the early '70s and he was one of the greatest bosses I've ever had. My deepest sympathy to all the family.
