Rachel A. (Paradiso) Zahner “Toni”, beloved wife of Bill Zahner, passed away, Monday, August 4, 2014 at Fox Hill Center in Vernon. She was born October 22, 1928 in Stafford Springs to the late Joseph and Rachele (Puzzatello)Paradiso. Toni and her husband Bill enjoyed 48 years of marriage in which each was devoted to each other. Toni was a person who cared deeply about the health and welfare of others. She was a dedicated daughter who along with her husband Bill provided many years of care to her parents in their time of need. She was a graduate of St. Edward’s School and Stafford High School where she injoyed being a majorette with the high school band. Toni loved spending time with her family at the Beach in Rhode Island and enjoyed her time spent with friends. Besides her husband Bill she is survived by her brother; F. Joseph Paradiso; her sister, Mary Paquin; her sisters in Law; Fredericka Whitman, Wilma Foley and Linda Leite. She was predeceased by her sisters; Josephine Oliveri and Beatrice Grace; her nephews; Joseph Paquin, Peter Grace and Richard Grace. Relatives and friends may join the family Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 5 – 8 at the Small & Pietras Funeral Home, 65 Elm St, Rockville, CT 06066. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 10:30 at St. Luke Church, Ellington (Please Meet Directly At Church). Burial will follow at Ellington Center Cemetery.
