Wilma (Billie) Visny, 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at her home in Coventry comforted in her prayer shawl gifted to her by her church. She was the loving wife of Bob Visny for 62 years. Born in North Attleboro, MA on May 30, 1931, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Ethel (Stratton) Scott.
Wilma graduated from Manchester High School with the class of 1949 and was a member of the first class to graduate the Fones School of Dental Hygiene at the University of Bridgeport in 1951.
She was a lifetime member of the Second Congregational Church, served as secretary of the Porter Library and a member of the Coventry Historical Society. She enjoyed the many activities at their family Christmas tree farm.
Wilma enjoyed vacationing in Bermuda, Martha’s Vineyard, Maine and New Hampshire and participated in Elder hostel programs that included tutoring in the Navajo Reservation School in Utah.
She was a much loved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, also known as Gram to many. She is survived by her husband Robert, their Daughter Martine Lehmann and her husband Prescott; son Steve; her grandchildren: Scott Stephanie, Kelly, Amanda and Joshua; and six great grandchildren. Her sister, Connie Miller of Manchester, and predeceased by her sister Carolyn Lucia; cousins Ruth Riera, Julia and John Grenier. She will be missed by her family and many close friends. Wilma will remain in our hearts forever.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family at 11 AM on Saturday, December 20, 2014 for a Memorial Service at the Second Congregational Church, 1746 Boston Tpke.
