Obituary for Marilyn G. "Mae" Zahner (West)

Marilyn “Mae” G (West) Zahner, 75, of Tolland formerly of South Windsor beloved wife of Clayton L. Zahner passed away Sunday May 10, 2015. She was born November 18, 1939 in Hartford. Mae was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and Kappa Kappa Gama of the University of Connecticut. She was an editor of Technical Publications at Pratt & Whitney before becoming a homemaker. Besides her husband of 47 years she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Gina Zahner; her granddaughter, Wilsey Zahner all of Tolland; her sister and brother-in-law, Sylvia and Bill Masi of New Jersey; her brother and sister-in-law Scott and Carol West of Tennessee; brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws, Gene and Ellen Kupferschmid, Emery and Susan Zahner all of Ellington. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Russell West. Relatives and friends may join the family on Wednesday May 13, 2015 from 4 to 7 PM at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Rd (RT195) Tolland. A graveside service will be held Thursday May 14, 2015 at 11 AM in Ellington Center Cemetery, Ellington. For online condolences please visit www.pietrasfuneralhome.com.
