Charlotte Letson Emery passed away after living a long and loving life for ninety four years. Born February 24, 1921 in Manchester, NH to John and Helen Letson where she lived until she met and married Lloyd R. Emery in 1939. She worked as a beautician as a young woman and transformed some of those skills to become a talented amateur artist, painting continually until a week before her death. Charlotte was a staunch UCONN basketball fan, enjoyed bowling with her friends, and volunteered as member of the Ellington Ambulance Association where she and Joan Senger conducted first aid and CPR training. She attended the Union Congregational Church in Rockville for many years after moving from East Hartford to Ellington in 1959. She was predeceased by her beloved siblings Helene, Dorothy, and Charles as well as her husband Lloyd, brother in laws Lester and Richard, sister in law Marion, and daughter in law, Marlys Emery. Charlotte is survived by brothers Edward Letson and wife Paula and Geoff Letson and wife Sandy; sons Lloyd Russell Emery, Donald Emery and wife Nancy, James Emery, Glenn (Chip) Emery and wife Karen, and Carl Emery and wife Christine, the Emery and Letson cousins and their children. She is also survived by her grandchildren Todd, Michael, Christine, Jeremy, and Chad, as well as great grandchildren Amelia, Paxton, Reese, Madeline, Michelle, Russell, Maisy, and Jacob.
