Gertrude (Hanaghan) Ellenberg, 86, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016. Daughter of the late Thomas and Nora Hanaghan, Gert was born in Hartford on July 25, 1929 and was a resident of East Windsor. She had a long list of charities that she contributed to and was always ready to help anyone in any way she could. Gertrude loved to attend church services and the great outdoors. Gertrude was a loving mother to her late sons, Steven and Ted Ellenberg. As well as a grandmother and great grandmother who never ran out of hugs and warm words. Gertrude is dearly missed by her grandchildren, Jesse and Emily Ellenberg and her significant other Zachary Boehm along with their families. Her great-grandchildren; Eva Boehm and Arlo Ellenberg, her sister, Noreen Parent, her nephews, Thomas Gordon, Clayton Hall, Don Dulio, Paul and Fred Parent; her nieces, Debbie Nagel and Cathleen Martin. She will be missed by all who knew her. Besides her parents and her sons Gertrude was also predeceased by her sisters; Teresa Gordon, Margaret Soucey, Katherine Dulio, Sara Repucci and a neice Mary Charlene Gordon.
