Richard T. Young Jr., 91, of Coventry and beloved husband of Evelyn (Andrada) Young, went to eternal rest on Sunday, April 19, 2009. He was born October 13, 1917 in Natick, MA to the late, Richard T. Young Sr, and Mary Velma (Otte) Young. He was a communicant of St. Mary Church in Coventry. He retired after 27 years from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft on July 31, 1981. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. His hobbies included being a stamp collector and target shooting but most of all spending time with his family. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Lorraine E. Young of Vernon; his son, Richard T. Young Jr. of Vero Beach, FL; his sister, Joan V. Young of Belgrade, ME; four grandchildren, Ronald Lee Jr, Tina Marie Miclette, Eric Young and Michelle Young; his great-granddaughter, Heather Ashlee Hence. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 24, 2009 at St. Mary Church , 1600 Main Street, Coventry. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Church, P.O. Box 250, Coventry, CT 06066. Arrangements have been entrusted to Coventry-Pietras Funeral Home, Coventry.
