His years of military service and employment at Pratt & Whitney left him with many stories to tell and allowed us to learn and appreciate his sense of humor and knack for storytelling. Dad loved everything about the sea and took many deep sea fishing trips with friends and family. Most family vacations were spent camping on Cape Cod with long days on the beach. He especially liked to have the dogs with him at the beach and taught them to hunt for shells.
He was a skilled craftsman and took pride in completing and maintaining many home projects. His children were his built in work crew on many of the jobs. He loved his family and worked very hard to provide them a happy home life and instilled a strong work ethic legacy.
