Condolence: I was lucky enough to meet Peter when I began working at Hoffman Lexus in 2007. I wish I had met him sooner. We became fast friends and continued to get together with Karen , Jan and me for all the years since we no longer worked together. Boy that first hand shake was a doozie , , , and they continued forever along with hugs and back slaps from one of the warmest and most genuine people I have ever met. I loved the way Peter did things. Like build that stone patio in his back yard. Crushed rocks then sand , border rocks , steps and all the precisely cut stones to complete it. Not just a patio to enjoy a lazy summer afternoon with great wine and cheese , , , but a work of art. So why not lend John a hand when his front walk needed redoing. A helping hand whenever you needed it. Like when I had a half fallen tree hung up in my back yard that needed to come all the way down Peter drove the 1 hour+ to my house with all his saws and such. And who ended up on the ladder 10 ‘ up with the running chain saw that got it done, , , yup , , , Peter. The four of us loved going to Mystic and his favorite restaurant Bravo Bravo where his favorite waitress would greet him with a hug. Just like the hug he would get from a shop owner he frequented. Peter was a good hugger. I loved that Peter read so much, had an opinion he let you know, had a great sense of humor, drove nice cars, had great tools , drank good wine, enjoyed good food and had a zest for life , , , and was a dear friend to those he called friend. I loved him, , , I just wish I had told him so the last time I saw him I will miss him dearly. Phil DiMarti
