John T. Pettinato, 58, of Willington, beloved husband of Susan (Urbanec) Pettinato, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2018, with his loving wife and family by his side. He was born December 2, 1959 in Hartford. He was a lifelong resident of East Hartford until building a home in Willington in 2003. He graduated from Penney High School class of 1978. He was the son of Joseph and Alma (Dowdy) Pettinato. He served in the U.S. National Guard. He owned Pettinato Landscaping since 1986. John enjoyed the outdoors including camping, gardening, ATV riding, Motorcross, snowmobiling, fishing, and kayaking. He loved traveling to Orlando, Florida, and he loved Walt Disney World. He also enjoyed his model train set. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved animals. He was passionate about all kinds of music. Besides his loving wife Susan, he is survived by their 3 beloved dogs and cat. He also leaves his sister Debra Pettinato, his brother Joseph Scott Pettinato, as well as his special cousins Dino Pettinato and his wife Lisa, Nino Pettinato and his wife Judy, and Marianna Beaumont and her husband Gregg. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at The Our Lady of Peace Campus of St. Edmund Campion Parish, 370 May Rd., East Hartford on Friday, September 14, 2018, at 10:30 am. Burial will be private.
