Paul M. Chesanek, 37, of Canterbury, formerly of Tolland, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Saturday, September 29, 2018. He was born in Hartford November 30, 1980 to his loving parents, John and Cynthia (Raia) Chesanek. He grew up in Tolland and graduated from Tolland High School in 1999. He was employed at Electric Boat in Groton for almost 15 years. He was an amazing guitarist and a very talented artist. He also loved films, had an amazing sense of humor and could fill a room with laughter. He was a very gifted welder for nearly 20 years. Besides his parents he is survived by his sister Mindy and her husband Neil; his nephew Jackson all of Simsbury ; his grandfather Salvatore Raia; His Uncles Joseph Raia, Thomas Raia and his fiancé Valerie Martin and Gabriel Raia. He also leaves his faithful companion, his Doberman Pinscher Ava. He was predeceased by his Maternal Grandmother Anne Marie Ouellette Raia and his Paternal Grandfather John A. Chesanek. Relatives and friends may join the family on Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 2-5 pm at Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Road (rt.195) Tolland, CT 06084. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mathews Church, Tolland Green, Tolland, CT on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 10:00 am (please meet at church). Burial will be held privately at Mt.
