Obituary for Margaret Gill

Margaret (Kompanik) (Williams) Gill, 94, of Rockville, CT passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018. She was born on October 14, 1923 in East Windsor, CT the daughter of the late Wendell and Katherine (Nagy) Kompanik. She graduated Rockville High school with high Honor Roll with a first year Salutatorian Honor. During WWII she worked for the Department of Agriculture and also the Farm Bureau Office in Rockville, CT. She later worked at Hamilton Standard in Windsor Locks, CT. She worked a Secretary for the Purchasing Department and Overhaul and repair, retiring after thirty years in 1981. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Church and formally a member of St.Bernard’s Church. She is survived by her children, Gail A Wheeler of Tomball, Texas, Debbie Cubit of Rockvile, CT and Craig Williams and his wife Ann of Meriden, CT, Grandchildren, John, Christopher, Jennifer, Kelly and Jeremy Plossay, Leslie and her husband John, Michelle McFarland and her husband Jason of Texas, and Michael Wheeler and his wife Lisa of Washington, great-grandchildren, Ashley, Nathan, Nicole, Jessica and Elijah Plossay, Gavin Daigle, Ainslee and Madylyn McFarland of Texas, Nikolai Wheeler of Texas, Austin Raymond Wheeler of Washington; and her sister Elizabethe Tarkany of Vernon, CT. She was predeceased by her first husband Milton E. Williams in 1952 and her second husband Stanley A. Gill in 1997, her sister Helen Kompanik in 1994 and Irene Berriault in 2006, a grandson, Raymond Wheeler in 1981 and a son-in-law, Raymond Wheeler, Sr. Friends and relatives may join the family on Sunday, October 7, 2018 between 1pm-3pm at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect Street, Rockville. A Funeral Home Service will take place on Monday, October 8, 2018 at 10am at The Burke-Fortin Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Vernon.
