Alfred Lawrence Sequeira, 79, of Coventry died Wednesday, October 24, 2018. Alfred was born in Rochester, MA on April 22, 1939 to the late Mary (Sylvia) Sequeira and Manuel Sequeira. He served in the United States Air Force for four years and graduated from Central Connecticut State University. He made his career as a Systems Analyst at Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT where he worked for more than 30 years. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Catherine (Murray) Sequeira, son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Ruby Sequeira of Rochester, NH and son, John Sequeira of Newington, CT. He leaves four loving grandchildren, Timothy and wife Alexa Sequeira of Quincy, MA, Emily Sequeira of Shrewsbury, MA, Zachary Sequeira of Manchester, CT and Alexis Sequeira of Manchester, CT. He is also survived by brother and sister-in-law Frank and Eileen Sequeira of Wakefield, RI along with many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by two sisters, Rosalind (Sequeira) Travis and Mary Sequeira. Al and Cathy were active members of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Coventry and Al was also a former member of the Coventry Lions Club. Al was an avid woodworker and made heirloom furniture that he loved to share with family and friends. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 5-7 pm on Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Coventry-Pietras Funeral Home, 2665 Boston Turnpike, Coventry, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church (Please meet at Church) in Coventry. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Coventry.
