Obituary for Esther M. Anagnos

Esther M. Anagnos, 79, of FL, formerly of Glastonbury, beloved wife of the late Richard Anagnos entered Heaven’s gates, Monday, October 29, 2018. She was born January 23, 1939 in Fort Fairfield, ME, the daughter of the late Carvel Gray and Gladys (Flewelling) Bregman. She is survived by her daughter, Jamie Stoddard and her husband Terry of South Windsor; her granddaughter, Dana Nowak and her husband Andrew; her grandson, Jeremy LaFond and his wife Jessica; and her great grandson, Jonah Nowak. She also leaves Richard’s children, Christopher, Patricia, Anne and Marissa and their children and grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Arthur Gray.

Esther was known for her beautiful smile, love and dedication to her family. She was a devoted mother and worked diligently to support her daughter Jamie, spending most of her career in the restaurant industry. She certainly knew how to enjoy the “finer things” in life- dining, wine, and of course, chocolate. She made sure to instill her love of fine dining and etiquette into her grandchildren, whom she adored, by spoiling them at fancy restaurants every chance she had. She enjoyed traveling during her earlier years, while her love of music, dancing, and especially the beach, were lifelong. She spent the latter 23 years of her life with her late husband, whom she affectionately called, “my Richie”, in beautiful Jensen Beach, Florida. Though she will be deeply missed, we have assurance we will see her again as she placed her faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. So long for now...we love you!

Special thanks to Anne for your love and support; Dad would be proud, as well as our family and friends for their love, prayers and support. We also wanted to extend our sincere appreciation to Brenda Abrams and the staff on 1-East at Vernon Manor for your compassionate care, comfort and support for our “Queen Esther”.

A Celebration of life service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2018 at the River of Life Fellowship, 384 Merrow Rd. (Rte. 195) Tolland, CT 06084. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please take time to enjoy your family, and some chocolate! For online condolences please visit:www.pietrasfuneralhome.com.
