Obituary for Angela April Albee

Angela April Albee (Angie), 25, passed away on Saturday November 24th, 2018, after having battled epilepsy for 12 years. She was born on April 7th, 1993, to Walter Albee of Maine and April (Poirier) Albee of Connecticut. Angela was a graduate of Ellington High School class of 2011, and had recently become certified as a Registered Medical Assistant through Asnuntuck Community College in the spring of 2018. In life Angela was loving and passionate; she enjoyed to write and to paint, and would often be found reading a book. Angela had a courageous spirit, and was often described as a protector; whenever Angela saw someone hurting, emotionally or otherwise, she was always there to listen and to help them heal. She had a bubbly personality and an infectious laugh, one had only to be near her to feel their cares wash away. Angela never gave up on her dreams, and always persisted regardless of any obstacles thrown her way. Angela is survived by her parents, her grandmothers Maria O’Connell-Laudano and Doris Poirier; her siblings Brett, Melanie (Craft), Crystal, Sabrina (Wierzchowski), Emily (Albee-Bourque), Amber, Alizabeth, Alisha, Walter, and Francis. Angela leaves behind five nieces and five nephews, as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. She will be greatly missed. Family, friends and others whose lives were touched by Angela are invited to the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home; 76 Prospect Street, Rockville CT, on Thursday November 29th from 6-8 pm to pay their respects and say goodbye. A church service will be held at St Luke’s Church; 141 Maple Street, Ellington CT, on Saturday, December 1st at 10:30 am for those who would like to attend. As Jesus spoke in John 14, “Let not your hearts be troubled; believe in God, believe also in me. In my fathers house are many rooms; if it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?” For online condolences, please visit www.pietrasfuneralhome.com
