Clara G. Church, 84, of East Longmeadow, MA, formerly of Tolland, beloved wife of the late Clinton A. Church passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018. She was born December 15, 1934 in Rockville, the daughter of the late Francis and Amelia (Carocari) Grumbach. She played basketball and enjoyed figure skating in her youth. She was an avid fan of UConn Women’s Basketball. She was very active and enjoyed walking and traveling with friends and family. She was a secretary at Rockville General Hospital. She is survived by her children, Clinton Church, III of Mechanicsville, ME, Richard Church of Stafford, Carolyn Dionne and her husband Joel of Enfield, Robert Church of Coventry and Brian Church and his wife Angela of West Chesterfield, NH. She also leaves her grandchildren, Britney, Casey, Brian, David, Andrew and Michael and her ten great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St. Rockville, CT 06066. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Monday, December 10, 2018 at St. Bernard’s Church, 25 St. Bernard Terrace, Rockville, CT 06066. Burial will follow at South Cemetery in Tolland.
