Obituary for Leah H. Riggott

Leah H. (Harrington) Riggott, 96, beloved widower of Elmer Riggott, passed away on Saturday December 15 with her family by her side. She was born November 1, 1922 in East Windsor to the late William and Loretta (Byrnes) Harrington. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Catherine Parish as well as a lifelong resident of East Windsor. Leah’s warm welcoming smile showed the love she had being around family and friends. She was a talented cook and baker, sharing her gifts and recipes. An avid reader, she loved spending time at the Warehouse Point Library. Leah is survived by her family, her sister Rita Kampfman of Windsor, and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandnieces, and grand nephews, and a wonderful group of close friends. Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas Harrington, William Harrington Jr. and sister Catherine Blake. Relatives and friends may join the family on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 9:30-10:30 am at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St., East Windsor, CT 06088. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am at St. Catherine Church, Broad Brook and burial will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery, Broad Brook.
