Francis J. Conlombe, 91, of Tolland, beloved husband of the late Sylvia R. (Eichner) Conlombe passed away Sunday, December 16, 2018. He was born August 13, 1927 in East Hartford, the son of the late Eugene and Dorelda (Breault) Conlombe. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He worked for the CT Department of Transportation for 33 years and retired in 1979. In his younger years, he was an avid baseball player. He served on the volunteer fire department in Eagleville. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and vacations with his wife, Sylvia. He is survived by his two sons, Steven Conlombe of Wethersfield and Rick Conlombe and his wife Lalita of South Windsor; his two brothers, Edmund DeVeau and his wife Lucille of Groton and Clifford DeVeau of Rocky Hill; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his brother, Norman DeVeau. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 9:30 to 10:30 AM on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Rd. (Rte. 195) Tolland, CT 06084. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM at St. Matthew’s Church, 111 Tolland Green, Tolland. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Coventry.
