Edward J. Stramel, 83, of East Windsor, beloved husband of Joan A. Stramel passed away peacefully, December 31, 2018. He was born on July 9, 1935 in Cedar Rapids, IA, the son of the late Henry Stramel and Hilda Stramel (Basgall). He enjoyed working outdoors, fishing, and vacations to Maine and Cape Cod. He attended St. Patrick's School in Cedar Rapids, IA. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1952 to 1955. Besides his loving wife he is survived by his sons, Timothy J. Stramel, Geoffrey J. Stramel, Randolph J. Stramel and Scott J. Stramel; daughters, Lori H. Reardon and Marji L. Demanski, along with several grand children and great-grand children. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son, Gary J. Stramel; sister, Barbara Stramel and brother, Robert Stramel, both of Cedar Rapids, IA. Relatives and friends may join the family on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 12-1 pm at the First Congregational Church of East Windsor, 124 Scantic Rd, East Windsor, CT 06088. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm at the First Congregational Church of East Windsor.
