Obituary for Claude L. Maillet

Claude L. Maillet, 68, of Vernon, formerly of East Windsor, beloved husband to Karen (Ferguson) Maillet passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019 with his family by his side. He was born February 28, 1950 to Oscar and Ida (Poirier) Maillet. He served on the Warehouse Point Fire department for over 20 years, prior to that had served on the Avon Fire department. He was an avid NASCAR Fan, a former member of the Knights of Columbus and a longtime parishioner of St. Philip’s Church. Besides his wife, Karen, Claude is survived by his sons; Leonard (Michelle) of East Granby, Paul of Broad Brook; his mother, Ida Maillet; his brother, Ronald Maillet(Christine) of Canton; his sister, Francine Ahrens (John) of Winsted; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Andrew, Lillianna, Brianna and Joseph and his nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his father Oscar Maillet and his sister Janice Lonabough. Relatives and friends may join the family on Friday, February 15, 2019 from 4-7 at Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St, East Windsor, CT 06088. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Philip Church, East Windsor. Burial will follow at Springdale Cemetery.
