To Ellen, the kids, and Kevin's family, i am so sorry for your sudden loss. I was pretty fortunate to have Kevin as a brother-in-law. He was a great guy in so many ways. Technically, he was my mother's son-in-law but I think she was a second son to him. I know he was only a father to Shane and stepfather to the other kids, but he was a dad to all of them. I know when he left us, anybody who knew him is hurting. He left us all with some great memories, but he will be dearly missed. May he RIP. Matt, Joanne, Bryce and Quinn

I think there is a lot for us all to learn from watching Kevin and Ellen. They were polar opposites in many important areas of their lives including religion and politics yet they managed to spend decades living together and making it work. I know it wasn't always easy but they made a commitment all those years ago to form a team and face the world together. They made it work and they continued loving each other despite the differences. I wish peace and comfort for the family in knowing they had a special man in their lives. rest in peace Kevin

Our sincerest condolences to Ellen, Shane, Leah, and the entire family. We have only known Kevin for five years or so. We initially met him through our niece Leah, Shane's wife. We really got to know him well through Shane's and our son Jason's involvement in an adult baseball league. We bonded over a mutual love of baseball and the Yankees. Kevin was so much more than that. What we really admired was his Love of God, Family, and Country (the triple crown in my book). We were looking forward to seeing him again when the baseball season started. He will be sorely missed by all who crossed paths with him, and we will cherish the time we did get to spend with him. Bruce and Angela Botti
