Obituary

Annette M. Daigle passed away April 10, 2019. She was born August 24, 1924, the middle child of eleven, to Henry D. Morneault and Louise Thibodeau Morneault. After graduation in 1946 from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Portland, Maine, Annette returned to northern Maine where she met and married the love of her life, Eddie L. Daigle. Annette and Eddie moved to Connecticut in 1950 where she began employment in occupational health nursing. She worked at Whitney Chain, Colt’s, Iona Mfg., and finished her career at Dexter Corporation in Windsor Locks, retiring in 1987. Annette was also an instructor in first-aid and CPR.
As an avid gardener she was known for her generosity with her bounty of fruits and vegetables. She had immense pride in her Acadian heritage and Maine roots.
Annette was predeceased by her husband Eddie in 1997,and brothers R. Patrick, Adrian, Angelo, Camille, Leo, Emilien, and sister Bertha. She is survived by a sister Jeanine Pelletier of West Hartford, and brothers S. James (Jim) Morneault and wife Della of Manchester, and Louis (Babe) Morneault and wife Pat of Scarborough, Maine. Also survived by her sons and their wives, Laurent (Larry) H. Daigle (Rosi) of Ojai, CA, Louis E. Daigle (Peggy) of Suffield, and Paul J. Daigle (Antonietta) of Broad Brook, grandchildren, Melissa Koneski (Michael) of Windsor, Angela Sawyer (Chris) of Bristol, Elizabeth Scheer (Adam) of Florida and Lorraine Azari (Yossi) of Florida, and two great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are scheduled for May 3, 2019 from 4-7 at Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner Street, East Windsor, CT. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., May 4, 2019 at St. Catherine Church, Broad Brook, CT (Please meet directly at church).

Please accept my condolences for the passing of Annette. There is hope though, as the Almighty has arranged for the resurrection in the future. He promises, "... There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." (Acts 24:15) I hope you find these few words comforting and provide motivation to prepare for the new world of God's making. (John 17:3)
