She was born in Stafford Springs, CT on August 10, 1951 to the late Robert and Sophia Swift (Dunay). Marlene was the most generous and kind person you would ever meet; she was truly one in a million. Her energy would light up any room and her enthusiasm was contagious. She loved being in the garden, attending church, creating a new soup, watching the snow fall, chatting with her friends, crafting, relaxing with her knitting, swimming with her sister and combing the beach for treasures. Marlene adored her horse, Royal, and loved every chance she got to snuggle him and kiss his nose. Christmas was Marlene's favorite holiday; she would spend all year searching for the perfect gifts and be overjoyed watching them get opened. Most of all, she cherished the countless hours she spent playing with the lights of her life, her four grandchildren Everett, Brady, Wyatt and Brooke. She never missed a school function and was always her family's biggest cheerleader. In addition to her husband, Marlene is survived by her son, Timothy Bohadik, his wife Haley and their children Everett and Wyatt; her daughter Alison Martin, her husband Keegan, and their children Brady and Brooke, all of Stafford Springs.
