Ellen D. Pelles, 92, widow of George Pelles, passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, June 11, 2019. She was born September 5, 1926 in Meriden to the late Mae and Ed Dunn. Ellen had a full life with her loving family, friends and community of St. Matthews. She leaves behind 5 children, 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; brother in law Ken Stuke, sister in law Disa Dunn; wonderful friends, Betty Reed and family and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Mae Bartek, Betty Ann St. Amand, Barbara Stuke and brothers Ed and Ted Dunn. In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation in Ellen’s name to the Tolland Senior Center, St. Matthew Church -Haitian Fund, or the Cornerstone Foundation Rockville. Relatives and friends may join the family on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 from 5-7 pm at Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Rd, Tolland. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am Thursday, June 20, 2019 at St. Matthew Church, Tolland (Please meet directly at church). Burial will follow at South Cemetery, Tolland.
