Walter was a friend of mine, a well recognized lawyer and a man of integrity. He had a big heart and represented his clients in a very compassionate manner. Walter was loved by many lawyers and judges. He had a great sense of humor and was a humble good man. I will miss him and pray for him. May the Dear Lord welcome Walther into the gates of Heaven and give comfort to the family that he cherished. Pat Tomasiewicz

I am deeply saddened to hear of Walter's passing. We interacted over a number of cases over the years and I always appreciated his legal analysis but most importantly, his ethics and good nature. Perhaps what I appreciated most was Walter's sense of humor. He always had a smile and a way about him that made you feel good to be in his presence. He would always inquire about my health with genuine interest when we were together and he was generous with both his time and his assets. I have fond memories of a week in 2007 when he blessed me with staying at his home on Martha's Vineyard rent free. Walter was a good and decent man who was a credit to the Connecticut Bar and will be missed, especially by me. God's rest and peace my brother.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Walters family. Working next door to him for about 10 years seeing him come and go from his office he was always kind . If he needed help with his cuff links or if he left his windows down in his car and it would start to rain I would run over to put them up. He would always ask how my family was. He believed in me when I wanted to start my own business and for that I will always be grateful.
