My Big Brother Les was my Hero. He helped me learn things He told me I can do it if he can do it Because I have his genes. He was always doing complicated electrical calculations since I can Remember. He Loved Trains Like my Dad and had so many Train sets from tiny to Large. He made his own Circuit Boards and showed his grandchildren how he did it. He wanted to build a replica of the Wodshole Warf from when He was a kid and the train went to Woods hole Steamshipand he made the drawings and hoped if he couldn't finish it someday someone would. He Loved all His Children and Grand Children and Often Talked about them and how important and special each one was. He Loved His Wife Colleen So So Much They were inseparable He was Joking around with her in His Last Few days Barely being able to talk he used his hands to express himself. Making us all Laugh in when he was in so much pain And asking me Where is MOM is that her far in the corner of the room, Now 91 Years young he held her hand like it was for the last time. He did not want to live to see my Mom Pass and was happy to see She is still going strong. He worried about her and would call me and say What happen to MOM I can't reach her ? She often had problems with her phone. How He Played Chess with my Dad and 1 time he beat him. And how no one could beat my Dad at Checkers My Brother Robbie from Tolland CT and He Were Very Close and after Robbie Died in March 2008 from falling off a Doctors's office he never got over it. Robbie's grandson Daron helped Les and Colleen in every way he could. He spent Most days calling me and talking about the old days and all the things he Loved. He asked me to look at Bouys for him and Light Houses and make sure he painted them right. He was a Musician Playing the Violin and Later a Guitar. He Made Beautiful Paintings of His childhood memories of Martha's Vineyard Light Houses and My uncle Leon who Loved singing "SEA FEVER " who Sailed Old Wooden Schooners and Died when Sailing the Alice S Wentworth in Maine and read us Moby Dick and would draw Pictures of Whales and Ships and Pirates in His Books as he turned the pages. Where Leslie got his painting talents from. He Loved Fishing and Talked about my Brother Ted all the Fish they caught and the crazy things they did together when he was young. He talked about My Sister Sandy and her late Husband Charlie Who he thought the world of He Said Charlie was like a Brother to him. He talked about my Sister Kathy and how they used to Sail the "SUNSET" an Edgartown Marine Beach Boat sailboat. He didn't want to Die and Fought so Hard and He suffered so much. In the end, he said to me" I wish I hadn't made it through the first time I was incubated many Months before he had suffered so much " I Guess God had seen him suffer enough and took him home where there is no Pain and no Sadness. I am sad we didn't get to go Fishing one Last time but we tried we got to spend time going around the Vineyard and Got to see the Ocean and the Light Houses and The Fishing Spots. He was a Lot of Fun and Tried to Help Everyone He could. He Loved Life and if he had his way still be here if just so he could say I Love you Buddy to me

I had the privilege of knowing and working with Les for a number of years at AET. He always put a smile on my face and always had time to talk. Mostly about his family. Les was a larger than life man and I am better for having gotten to know him.

May he RIP.
