After a full and wonderful life Michael B. Hill, 56 passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 16 2019. He was the loving husband of Happy and father of Connor, Brendan, and Ryan. Michael was born in Hartford, CT on October 30, 1963. Michael graduated from E.O Smith High School in 1982. He went on to graduate from University of Connecticut with a BA in 1982 and an MA in 1991. Michael went on to build a career at Springfield College where he was the Associate Director of The Career Center at Springfield College up until his retirement in 2018. Michael was predeceased by his brother, Thomas and his father, George. He is survived by his wife, three sons, mother Anne, siblings Jennifer, Matt, and George, nieces and nephews, aunts, and numerous cousins. He will be missed by all his friends, colleagues, and in-laws. He loved cooking, spending time on the Cape, watching the Red Sox, going to Huskies games, and watching his boys play soccer. He had a passion for mentoring students and seeing them succeed in their careers. Being with his friends from UConn; Robb, Joan, Vince, Sue, Barry, and Eileen was one of his favorite things to do. Most of all he loved raising his boys into the men they’ve become alongside Happy his wife of 28 years. Calling hours are Thursday, December 19th from 4pm-7pm at Tolland Memorial Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 20th at 10:30am at St. Thomas Aquinas Chapel in Storrs, CT. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later date.
