Obituary for Edna N. Hills
Edna Noble Hills, 74, of East Windsor peacefully passed away at home on May 20, 2020, while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Stafford Springs on June 5, 1945, the daughter to John B Noble II and Lena Mae (Thompson). After graduation, she worked at Cardinal Health and Manchester Memorial Hospital for many years.
To her family, Edna was life itself. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and the best grandma ever. She would encourage and applaud all of the dreams and accomplishments of her family and friends. Edna was all things wonderful and perfect.
Everyone who knew Edna was drawn to her light. She had an incessant ability to find the good in people and would drop everything to provide help and support; unless you had a need between the hours of 12:30pm and 1:30pm, because she would never miss an episode of the Young & The Restless. For this and so many other reasons, Edna will be forever remembered for her warm smile, fun loving spirit, her sense of humor and her cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee.
Edna leaves behind her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Wesley Truman Hills. Her children Victoria Mary Hills Novak of East Windsor, Wesley T Hills II & Ana Hills of East Windsor; her grandchildren Rebecca J Novak, Jessica M Novak, Erin M Novak, Justin T Hills, Brooke D Novak and Wesley T Hills III. She was pre-deceased by her daughter Pamela Lynn Hills and granddaughter Kristen Elizabeth Novak.
In addition, she leaves behind her brothers and sisters Robert T Noble and his wife Rita of Virginia, Raymond G Noble and his wife Cheryl of East Windsor, Mary O’Connell and her husband Fred of Niantic, Charles B Noble of East Windsor and Ruth Milligan of East Windsor. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law Marian Hallowell of Woodstock. And many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brother John B Noble III, sister-in-law Ellen Noble and brother-in-law Michael Milligan.
The family expresses our sincere appreciation to Allison Gorman who cared for her with love and kindness through her battle with congestive heart failure.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you make a donation to the Five Corner Cupboard food pantry in East Windsor.
Funeral services will be private. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
