Nancy Jeanne Carey, 73, of Suffield, CT passed away peacefully on July 7, 2020. She was born on October 19, 1946 in Providence, RI to the late Walter and Catherine (Nolan) MacDougald. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandson Patrick. She enjoyed boating and spending time at the family cabin in South Kingston, RI for many years. She worked in the airline industry starting her career as a flight attendant before retiring as an airport administrator. In her later years she moved to Orlando, FL and enjoyed her retirement working at Disney World. She is survived by her children Catherine Claffey and husband Brian of Windsor Locks, CT, Christina Carey and wife Heather of Bradenton, Fl, and Dean and wife Kimbra of Santa Maria, CA, her grandchildren Patrick and Carter; and her siblings Edward MacDougald, Donna Mountain, Paul MacDougald, Catherine Alessandri and Kenneth MacDougald. Besides her parents she is predeceased by her brothers, Tommy MacDougald, Robert MacDougald and John MacDougald. Relatives and friends may join the family on Friday, July 10, 2020 between 10am-11am at St.Mary’s Church, 42 Spring Street, Windsor Locks, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11am. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing guidelines. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
