Barbara E.(Rose) LaMay, 71, of Broad Brook, passed away on October 18, 2020. She was born July 27, 1949 in Winsted to the late Henry and Jean (Dutcher) Rose. Barbara was involved in many community activities. She was a faithful parishioner at St. Catherines and served as a CCD Teacher, Eucharistic Minister and belonged to the St. Catherine Altar Rosary Society. She was a den mother for the local Cub Scout pack, served on the Park Hill Commission. She is survived by her son; Vincent LaMay and his wife Deborah of Broad Brook; her grandson, James Dumsar; her Sisters, Marie Scinto and her husband Dean of Vernon, Rita Green of Windsor Locks; her brother, Mark Rose and his wife Karen of Windsor; her aunts, Linda Britton, Carol Rose and Dorothy Rose and many nieces, nephews and many extended family members. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Timothy in 2016. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The American Diabetes Assn. or the Broad Brook Volunteer Fire Department, 125 Main St, Broad Brook, CT 06016. Relatives and friends may join the family for a mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. Gabriel Church, 379 Broad St, Windsor, CT 06095. Burial will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery, Broad Brook. Please abide by CDC Guidelines, Masks and social distancing will be mandatory.
