Lula (Bagley) Sweeney, 95, of Broad Brook. loving wife of the late Wilfred J. Sweeney passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at Kimberly Hall Nursing Home.

Lula was born in Grand Lake Stream, Maine then moved to Broad Brook at an early age and lived there all her life.

Lula is survived by her children, Daniel Sweeney and his wife Carol of Broad Brook, Cindy-Lu Johnston and her husband Gregory of Enfield, Jacqueline Turcotte and her husband Thomas of Enfield; her daughter-in-law, Gail Sweeney of Broad Brook; her grandchildren, Patrick and April Sweeney, Chelsea Johnston and husband Brendan, Zachary, Courtney and Morgan Sassi and husband William, Lacey Puerta and husband Christopher, Joseph and wife Nicole; and six great grandchildren, Maxwell, Hayden, Alexandra, Kylee, Bailey and Bryce. Lula was predeceased by her son, Thomas G. Sweeney; granddaughter, Melissa; and siblings, Evie, Kay and Bradford Bagley.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 11 to 12 noon on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner St., East Windsor, CT 06088. A Funeral Service will follow at 12 noon at the Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Broad Brook.
